Brennan Palani Buccat is from Honolulu, Hawaii, and is currently a third-year standing student at The Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy at The University of Hawaii at Hilo. Before pharmacy school, Brennan completed his undergraduate education at Leeward Community College within The University of Hawaii System and graduated with an Associate of Science in Biological Science in the spring of 2020. Brennan has special interests in looking at cultural health, health disparities, and behavioral health. Currently, Brennan is involved with different professional memberships, including The Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity, American and Hawaii Pharmacist Associations, Hawaii Medical Reserve Corps, and The Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science. He currently serves as the President of The Gamma Theta Chapter of the Phi Delta Chi Professional Pharmacy Fraternity and serves as one of the Logistics Co-Chairpersons for the annual Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy Health Fair. Outside of school, Brennan works as a pharmacy intern with Kaiser Permanente Health Plan of Hawaii and is involved with different service projects such as vaccination clinics, COVID-19 point of care testing clinics, and is an active volunteer with his high school alma mater’s annual leadership camp.
