Lisa Hong, PharmD, BCPS is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and the Director of Interprofessional Education at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at the University of Colorado Health, followed by a PGY2 Internal Medicine pharmacy residency at the University of Utah Health. Dr. Hong currently practices as an Internal Medicine Clinical Pharmacist at Loma Linda University Medical Center where she precepts over a dozen students and residents annually. She coordinates three courses, including a capstone course focused on evidence-based practice, and leads numerous interprofessional education experiences throughout the curriculum. Her research interests include infectious diseases, cardiology, nephrology, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. Dr. Hong has served in leadership roles on both a local and national level, and she had the privilege of spearheading an international consensus document on the use of prolonged infusion beta-lactam antibiotics with an incredible team of experts.
