System Director, Knowledge Management

Dan Longyhore is the System Director of Knowledge Management for Pharmacy at Geisinger in Pennsylvania. In his role, he oversees pharmacy student programming, pharmacy residency programs, directs professional development efforts for pharmacists and technicians, and maintains collaborative practice agreements for pharmacists in the health system. He is a graduate of the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy and the School of Education at Wilkes University. Dr. Longyhore's dissertation evaluated the potential of in-training exams as part of pharmacy residency traning using a concerns-based adoption model framework. He completed a pharmacy practice residency with Palmetto (Prisma) Health Richland in Columbia, South Carolina and family medicine pharmacy residency with St. Louis College of Pharmacy and St. John's-Mercy Medical Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Longyhore is an Associate Professor in Medical Education at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and Director of the Teaching and Learning Certificate Program for the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
