The Upside of Stress: How to Make the Most of a Stressful Situation

Although it may be counter-intuitive, embracing stress can help individuals be stronger, smarter, and happier. Stress can even inspire compassion and enhance empathy, which are critical in patient care settings. Desired practice requires students with greater awareness of the science of stress, the positive benefits, and strategies to harness it productively. The goal is to minimize misconceptions of stress and change our relationship with how we interact with stress.
