Daniella Salawu graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2020, she earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences at the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. She authored a thesis on “Dietary Adherence and Food insecurity in Adult IBD and IBS Patients in Los Angeles.” At Regis University, she is pursuing dual degrees in Doctorate in Pharmacy (PharmD) and Master of Science in Health Informatics (MSHI). During her first year, she received the most Supportive P1 Award. She coauthored “Over-the-counter pediculosis humanus capitis treatment: addressing the need for African hair types” in the American Journal of Public Health. She also presented this topic at the SNPhA/NPhA National Convention, NCPA Annual Convention & Expo, and APHA Annual Meeting & Expo. Currently, she is a member of the American Medical Informatics Associations, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and American Public Health Association. Simultaneously, she is the president of National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA). While maintaining a 3.84 GPA, she works part-time as a pharmacy intern at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. In conclusion, she is working hard towards becoming a Clinical Research Informatics Pharmacist.
