Anant Shah is in his final year of pharmacy school at SUNY Buffalo. After completing three years of pharmacy coursework, he pursued a dual degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Anant worked as a pharmacy intern at two major regional hospitals in Western New York and at an independent specialty pharmacy focused on patients with low socioeconomic status. He is completing APPEs while working on his final project to obtain his M.S. He has engaged in research projects on asthma self-management and education, treatment of extensively drug-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii, pharmacotherapeutic use of bacteriophages, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling of antimicrobial drugs. Anant has presented posters at National Community Pharmacy Association, Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network, and American Society for Microbiology. He created the first Regulatory Affairs Committee for student chapters of the National Association of Specialty Pharmacy, presided over the Formulary (UB's student-run organization to ensure all students have access to student professional organizations), and was treasurer for the student chapter of International Pharmaceutical Students Federation.
