Jessica Wilhoite, PharmD, BCACP is the Director of Ambulatory Pharmacy at Community Health Network in Indianapolis, IN. She received her PharmD degree from Purdue University prior to completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at St.Vincent Hospital and a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Specialty residency at the St.Vincent Joshua Max Simon Primary Care Center, both in Indianapolis, IN. Dr. Wilhoite has been involved with primary care for the past ten-plus years, including direct patient care, through the provision of drug therapy management and patient education, as well as research, and resident and student education and training. She is a past member of the ASHP Section Advisory Group on Compensation and Practice Sustainability and the ASHP Section Advisory Group on Development of Student Education and Learning Experiences. She previously served as course coordinator for an ambulatory care elective at Butler University focusing on outpatient pharmacy service development and the value of the ambulatory care pharmacist. In her current role, she serves a team of 30 primary care pharmacists providing drug therapy management services in nearly 50 physician offices across the Network. Similarly, Dr. Wilhoite’ s research interests are targeted around evaluating new and ongoing pharmacy services, quality improvement in the outpatient setting, and utilizing learners to advance the services provided in the ambulatory care setting.
