Dr. Kerestes is a graduate of St. Joseph's University; former University of the Sciences, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy in 2011. After graduation, she accepted a position as a clinical pharmacist at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. She assisted with the development of the clinical pharmacy practice in the Emergency Department at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. She has her board certification in critical care medicine. Dr. Kerestes has been directly involved in implementing the emergency medicine pharmacy service line as a 24/7 offering at Geisinger Wyoming Valley and serves as the Coordinatory for Emergency Medicine at this site. She facilitates the pharmacists’ adult and pediatric code education and certification for hospital-wide code response. Dr. Kerestes serves on several hospital committees, including the Emergency Medicine Service Line, Emergency Medical Response committees, Pediatric Emergency Medicine Counsel, and Emergency Management Committee . She is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice of Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy and clinical assistant professor of pharmacy, Department of Medical Education, Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine. Her areas of interest include emergency medicine, anticoagulation, trauma, and toxicology.
