Dr. Kama Thomas is a board-certified clinical pharmacist, speaker, and the author of the book Nothing Wasted: A True Story of Immigration and Resilience in Pursuit of the American Dream. She started her career with Froedtert Health in 2016 at the Specialty Pharmacy where she was primarily responsible for the Gastroenterology, Dermatology, and Rheumatology patients who utilize their pharmacy. In January 2022, she transitioned into her current role as the Health Outcomes and Research Coordinator.
She was born and raised on the beautiful island of St. Lucia and migrated to the U.S. after completing high school. In 2007, she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from MCPHS University in Boston, MA in 2016 and then completed her Post-Graduate Year 1 Pharmacy Residency at the Syracuse VA hospital in Syracuse, NY.
She currently serves on the ASHP Section Advisory Group on Outcomes & Value. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering and discovering new places and cultures through her travels.
