Angela L. Goodhart, PharmD, BCACP is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Family Medicine at West Virginia University, where she practices as an ambulatory care pharmacy specialist within a Patient-Centered Medical Home. Dr. Goodhart is also the residency program director for the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy program at West Virginia University School of Pharmacy and serves as a preceptor for many other residency and student programs.
Dr. Goodhart studied chemistry at Bowling Green State University before obtaining her PharmD from Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). She completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital and went on to pursue PGY2 training in Ambulatory Care Pharmacy at Summa Health System in Akron, OH. Her areas of interest are chronic disease management with an emphasis in chronic respiratory conditions and weight management, geriatrics, interprofessional education, and expanding clinical pharmacy services. She is engaged at the state and national levels and was recently recognized as the New Practitioner of the Year by the West Virginia Society of Health-System Pharmacists (WVSHP). Beyond her work, Dr. Goodhart enjoys exercising, attending sporting events, and exploring new places.
