Heather Torbic, Pharm.D., FCCM, BCCCP, BCPS, is Medical Intensive Care Unit Clinical Pharmacy Specialist at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. Dr. Torbic received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts; completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Boston Medical Center; and, a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.
In addition to patient care, Dr. Torbic is actively involved with student and resident training and is the program director for the PGY2 Critical Care Residency Program at Cleveland Clinic and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. She is also actively involved in research, which includes acute respiratory distress syndrome and sedation/analgesia/agitation in critically ill patients. Dr. Torbic is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacy and serves as faculty for the ASHP BCCCP review course. She is also an active member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
