Nina Orsini PharmD, BCIDP, received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Long Island University Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy in Brooklyn, New York. After completion of a PGY-1 at Brookdale Hospital and a PGY-2 in Infectious Diseases at University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital, she joined Memorial Sloan Kettering, a large cancer research institution and bone marrow transplant center in New York City. She is currently a clinincal pharmacy specialist in infectious diseases and foucses on the management of opportunisitc infections in immunocompromised hosts. In addition to patient care responsibilites, Dr. Orsini started a PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency Program in Infectious Diseases where she serves as the program director. Dr. Orsini conducts clinical research, and plays an integral role in the MSKCC antibiotic management program which received an IDSA Antimicrobial Stewardship Center of Excellence designation.
