Alex J. Adams, PharmD, MPH, Administrator, Idaho Division of Financial Management
Adams is a champion for advancing patient care by enabling pharmacy technicians and pharmacists to practice to the full extent of their education and training. Under his leadership, the Idaho Board of Pharmacy cut regulations and broadened autonomous prescriptive authority in the state to cover preventative care and acute and chronic conditions. As a result, Idaho’s advanced practice authority legislation and regulations now serve as a model for other states seeking to advance pharmacy practice and patient care.
